Due to the recent New Clan System, BrambleClan has been moved to a blog post.

If you have any questions about this new system, please contact Dew.

Description[]

Appearance[]

BrambleClan cats are often heavily muscled and broad shouldered, built for endurance, not agility. Their coats are often varying shades of brown, ginger or black, with several silver tabbies added in the mix.

BrambleClan cats have the typical hierarchy of any other Clan - leader, medicine cat, deputy, apprentices, etc...however, they also have guardians, who serve as the nursery caretakers. These cats are selected for both their good natures and their inability to complete the rigors of apprentice initiation.

Behavioural Traits[]

A typical BrambleClan warrior is calm and level-headed, with rare bursts of anger. They are often described as being frigid, aloof - and organized, though not the most intelligent of the Clans. They rely on their strength and tact while the rest rely on their wits.

However, this is not to say that all of them are like that - there are certainly several members of the Clan who are reckless, brawling and loud, eager to fight and show teeth. It is rare for one such member to advance to leadership, though this has happened on at least one notable occasion.

Territory[]

BrambleClan cats stay among the dense foliage of new woodland - thus they are nomadic, moving as soon as the forest becomes unsuitable for their conditions. They are known for lining their dens with bramble as well, and it's rumoured that they sharpen their claws on stone.

If something bad has happened, or there is a particularly abundant resoure (prey, herbs, etc.), then the cats of BrambleClan will remain in one place for as long as they can, until they've exhausted the resource in question. It's rare for them to remain put for more than one year, however...many cats grow restless and uneasy, eager to move.

Naming[]

BrambleClan cats often name themselves after plants or birds, and rarely after a colour or another prey animal. The suffixes of their names often have to do with plants and animals as well, though other things in nature may also be used.
